following the now infamous rogue state university print manifesto available exclusively through the cash-only application process to the dreaded “p.o. box 213”, this set acquisitions a series of expelled crazed anti-instrument noises from dean frost collecting snail mail only cassettes with one bonus tape. granular textures and cut-ups of physical noise created from elephant shaped watering can, live birth in the ER, the jaws of life and more !
like a bad senior year hangover coming back from the 80s,
the bell has rung and orientation is here for freshman at rsu.
it’s contra meets spring break for newbies and punters thinking deep through purple haze and asbestos on what to major in…
school is back in session but the bridges and tolls to state 213 are congested by the statue of liberty’s nyquil blue decapitated head!
I’m a big Merzbow fan and I’ve only listened to some of Prurient’s material, so to hear that both experimental legends made a record together was an instant grab for me! This is quite easily one of the darkest sounding noise albums, as the walls of ambient noise clashing with these horror industrial sounds makes for a greatly disturbing experience. Hard to say why this is so cool in less than 500 characters, but I can say this is making me interested to get into Prurient’s deeper discog! ༺𝔇𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔡𝔣𝔲𝔩𝔰༻
Such a diverse array of approaches to industrial music, whatever one might say about Prurient's output, the man is consistently and defiantly surprising. Like his album "Casablanca Flamethrower", this record is one of those magical audio-roaming grounds for one's morbid imagination to run wild. You can envision strange and startling worlds and alternative histories to music like this. Ben Harris
This album is perfect for a rainy day and i absolutely love how the beats and things mix with the ambience of different field recordings. One of my favorite albums to be released this year Gunnison6610
